Four instructors, one small studio, no locker-room energy.
Yoga by Rajeshwari opened in 2019 in a room that used to be a print shop. We kept the concrete floor.
The story
Why we started this.
Yoga by Rajeshwari started with a simple complaint: the 6:30 AM classes that actually fit a working schedule were always the most crowded and the least personal. We built a studio around the opposite idea — small classes, real names, and a schedule that starts before most gyms open their doors.
We're not a franchise and we don't run on quarterly targets. Four instructors teach every class themselves — no rotating substitute roster, no app-only bookings that no one on-site can answer for.
What that means day to day
How the studio actually runs.
- Classes capped at 14 people, reformer sessions capped at 4.
- Mats, blocks, straps, and bolsters provided — bring nothing but water.
- Same four instructors teach every class on the calendar.
- Showers and a quiet room for the 10 minutes before you have to be somewhere else.
The people teaching your classes.
Priya Nair — Founder, Hatha & Yin lead
Teaching for twelve years. Trained in Mysore, India, and holds a 500-hour certification in trauma-informed yoga instruction. Started Yoga by Rajeshwari after six years teaching at studios that, in her words, "optimized for retail over instruction."
Marco Diehl — Vinyasa lead
Former competitive swimmer who came to yoga through a shoulder injury a decade ago. Certified through a 200-hour Vinyasa program and still takes Priya's Yin class every week as a student.
Sana Batra — Reformer & mat Pilates lead
Licensed physiotherapist who trained separately as a Pilates instructor. Keeps reformer classes at half capacity so she can correct form in real time rather than from across the room.
Jordan Ade — Prenatal & outdoor classes
Certified prenatal yoga instructor and the person behind our warm-weather outdoor sessions in the park two blocks over.
